Light toning and some foxing throughout. Else very good. A fine mid-18th-century collection of the laws of Massachusetts. This copy includes the separately issued CHARTER (here bound first), followed by table of contents with index and the full compilation of laws to 1759. The miscellaneous acts and laws provide a massive body of New England legal, social, and economic information. They paint a vivid picture of the development of the region, with the founding of towns and public works such as the building of the Plymouth lighthouse.
