Field's 'Britain's Sea Soldiers' has gilt lettering to front board and spine with gilt insignia of the royal marines to front boards; 'while Blumberg's 'A Record of the Royal Marines' has gilt insignia only to front board. All vols have elaborate gilt sailing ship device to base of spine. Hinges sound.  Spines slightly faded and boards with minor wear, mostly edges, but internal contents clean and bright.
