DS, Versailles, 12 March 1748. 1 p., folio, toned, with some separation at folds and minor staining on margins, llc.  "His Majesty having given the seigneury of the old fort to the vacant company of the Conde Regiment by the death of Seigneur Montvalot, the officers, sergeants and soldiers who make up said company are under orders to take possession in pursuance of the current command of His Majesty and reconnoiter the area for their captain...." Signed "Louis" (secretarial) and countersigned by Marc Pierre de Voyer, Count Argenson (1696-1764) as Secretary of State for War. Item #96
